Taking the knee 2022/23
Premier League captains are discussing whether to continue this. It's been happening for two years. Wilfrid Zaha no longer does it, saying that it doesn't matter whether players take the knee or stand up or whatever.

What do you think - should it continue? I say no. It's run its course.

Should never have been started in the first place

I agree, I'd say it's run its course. It certainly isn't increasing in impact - but it wound up the right kind of people enough at the start, which was amusing.

I'd be surprised if you'll get anyone on here saying it should continue.

Re: Taking the knee 2022/23
Think they should raise the bar and get down on both knees .

I am of course joking.

They have forced themselves into a corner now,if they stop people will ask whats changed so much since the last day of the season a few weeks ago that they can stop trying to make people aware of racism.

If taking the knee had any sustance to it,it would continue. They should leave it to individual players to decide,be interesting to see who does and dosnt carry on.

An industry that makes multi millionaires of hundreds of young black men really didnt have to do this in the first place, they were just afraid not to.

''What do you think - should it continue?'' - The fact that you are even asking this speaks volumes.

''I say no. It's run its course'' - What ''course?'' There was never a course to run. Whole thing was a sham to begin with.

All you have done here is start yet another political thread. Well done.

I am sitting down, thanks. Quietly watching a video about 9/11.

"I can't breath"
The catchy phrase of the the commie psyop where the banks helped finance and promote the inverted narrative that resulted in heightening racial tension across the West and cities across America burning.

Inevitably the next commie psyop had all the freaks wearing trainee face burkhas restricting their own breathing to prevent catching the world's most dangerous cold™ which impacted their respiratory systems (like most colds and flus do and have done for 1000's of years), which too was very popular with those most inclined to be commie compatible scum, who effectively are stealing oxygen from more deserving lifeforms.

It hasn't run it's course yet, it only ends when those with any shred of humanity left in them stand up and resist this shit outright.

It's been bollocks since day 1 making George Floyd a fecking hero !!!
We're already prepared to go to Qatar which should be called "The Hypocrisy World Cup"
It's like the Premiere league is being run by the BBC.

Well hopefully common sense prevails and the whole thing stops. Enough is enough.

Re: Taking the knee 2022/23
Understand the captains had one meeting and are now consulting their players.
Many players think its lost any impact and has become something like the once a year wearing a t-shirt in a warm up ie meaningless
Agreed with Zaha and Les Ferdinand when they abandoned it.

The real problem with racial abuse is via social media and that means those companies must be able to identify people posting on their platforms .... if they cant THEY should be responsible for the abuse.
As in the recent Elon Musk / Twitter debacle its obvious that millions of social media accounts are fake and they are obviously not keen to wipe those out.
And the current jelly like excuse for a government that cant find its arse with both hands do nothing.

I agree, I'd say it's run its course. It certainly isn't increasing in impact - but it allowed virtual signalers to think they were making a difference when in fact they were making things worse, which was amusing.

Re: Taking the knee 2022/23
Didn’t it turn out that a lot of the racial abuse players were getting online stemmed from Russian and Chinese bot factories?

Pretty sure it did.

And yes, the Qatar World Cup of hypocrisy. They really need to not be taking the knee there!

Not sure how Gary Lineker and his fellow black presenters are going to feel commenting from that place.

It offends the racists and snowflakes which is entertaining so I hope it continues

Re: Taking the knee 2022/23
Was also going to say that players should protest by closing all their social media accounts for good
Even CUNTING Lombard and his TikTok account until changes are made.

They did it for 5 mins last year but obviously make too much money from them to attack the source of the problem
The clubs should do the same along with the FA

Has no impact whatsoever. If its done all the time it's just a routine.

It started as a BLM thing then got rebranded and seemed to just create divide. Perfect. Keep it up.
